Hundred
Years of Lysatetherapy
Too
one century ago, in February, 1901, was born in the Argentina the Lysatetherapy,
an exceptional curative route based on the ingestion of proteins hydrolysated.
Greatest work of the medical Argentine wise person, Carlos L. Village,
it turned into a new medical paradigm, later adopted as big investigators.
That paradigm that there praises the " food of body ", that
is to say, the nutrition of the organism at cellular level in order that
is the organism (not chemically formulated drugs) who eliminates the pathogen
and it makes possible to the patient better qualities of life.
Though the Dr. Villar was coming being employed at his development from
several years before, he presents his results in February 1901 ahead amazed
colleagues. In the room 5 ª of the Military Hospital destined to
the tubercular patients, he presented the evidences of the healing of
50 conscripts affected of the terrible disease after the treatment with
his product, proteins hydrolysated from ox muscle.
The Argentine medical community, still before the forceful evidence of
its effectiveness, did not accept like valid the proposal and, rejected
the arguments of Villar and determined that the therapy "lacked serious
scientific foundations".
It does not pass long time without scientists worldwide, fundamentally
Sweden and Russia, are interested in this therapy and they develop it
successfully. The newspaper "La Nación" publishes, in
1944, an article who says: "There is an antitubercular serum in Sweden
that was elaborated by an Argentine doctor: the Dr Villar. In such article
expresses itself, among other things: "In the Scandinavian and Slavic
countries products based on principles are elaborated and applied that
serve as scientific foundations the" Villar Serum "; and is
considered like original creation, when in fact the merit corresponds
to our compatriot ".
In Argentina, in 1940, the National Direction of Hygiene approves the
product as apt and authorizes its manufacture and sale in all the country.
Although seriously affected by the attitude of his colleagues, the Dr
Villar continued his works, perfecting his processes and products and
incorporating lysates of other tissues and glands. He dies in 1907 and
are his children, Mariano and Alfredo who continue during years with their
works. On 1950, Alfredo, founds on Rosario (Argentina) the Institute of
Lisadoterapia Argentina Dr Carlos L. Villar. And from those days our company,
with different denominations, was the first world-wide manufacturer of
lysates.
Our registered tradename internationally, "Villar", identify
to the lysates produced according to the initial lessons of the Dr Villar,
with the improvements arisen through decades of serious studies and works
and with an ethical attitude to which it forces our respect to us to so
illustrious predecessor.
In the hall of our seat a picture is exhibited, of silk with gold embroiderings,
with which a great number of patients cured with the lysate-therapy their
gratitude attested in 1902 the Dr Villar. And after its gratefulness and
of the detail of its names, they culminate with a phrase that, to finish
these lines, we allowed ourselves to make ours: "Honor to Science".
