Small Peptides

The peptides and polypeptides have similar structure to the proteins, in other words they are constituted by amino acids, but they are smaller in size than them. However, the peptides can fulfil biological functions of importance for the life of the individual. In fact, small peptides exists, from among 3 to 50 amino acids, with biological activity that stimulate the growth and the regeneration of organs and tissues. Such is the case of the named growth factors, between those which we can emphasize the renal growth factor and the hepatic growth factor.

Also, small peptides exist that contribute to the decrease of arterial tension, as is the case of the atriopeptides that are segregated by the cardiac atrio, and that contribute in the treatment of hypertension independently of the origin.

The partial hydrolysated protein produced by our Institute contain a whole slew of peptides of different size that contribute to the treatment and to the prevention of a great number of organic affections, as demonstrate in the almost 50 years of experience in this field.
